‘A Climate for Change’ is a 2-day summit, with post-summit professional development workshops, that will inform, enliven and expand your understanding of addiction.

Clients, graduates and supporters of Proposition 36, California’s treatment-instead-of-incarceration law, will gather at the Capitol to celebrate seven years of the groundbreaking program’s success. Hundreds of rally participants will represent the over 84,000 people who have graduated from the program in the last seven years—and call attention to the over $1.5 billion saved by Prop 36 so far.

The theme for the Hemp Fest this year will be Hemp and Marijuana - the straight dope - dispel the myths - fact and fiction...

The War on Drugs has been marching on since well before Richard Nixon coined the phrase in 1971, and it continues to be a battle – and a debate – for governments and policy makers around the world. The complexities surrounding the prohibition of drugs include a mixture of economic, health and wellness, and social and human rights issues. The argument is further fueled by morality, religion, race, law enforcement, and money. What has the War on Drugs accomplished in the thirty-seven years after Nixon’s declaration? Are there alternatives to the current drug laws and policies? Is this a war that has an end?

The Drug Policy Alliance is proud to sponsor this Recovery Ambassador Workshop. The event, organized by the Johnson Institute and local re-entry program Second Chance, is designed for people in recovery—but the training is valuable for all people who believe that substance dependence is a matter of individual and public health and that people struggling with current or past drug use should not be discriminated against.

The World Psychedelic Forum with over 60 seminars, lectures, and panel discussions, presented by more than 50 experts, and some 30 young researchers from all over the world, with a rich audio-visual supporting program, and a variety of external events during three nights offers a unique Easter weekend in Basel for the young and the young at heart, for the interested lay persons, as well as the professional, a gathering you will never forget!

We are organizing to abolish solitary confinement and torture in U.S. prisons! We Need You!! We are calling on families, formerly imprisoned people, youth groups, community activists, civic leaders, lawyers, researchers, mental health professionals and concerned citizens to attend this 3-day grassroots organizing event.
