Arnold Trebach Book Talk

An opportunity to hear from one of the true pioneers of the drug law reform movement will occur on Thursday February 22nd at 1:30PM. Dr. Arnold Trebach, American University professor emeritus and founder of the Drug Policy Foundation will be discussing his new book Fatal Distraction: The War on Drugs in the Age of Islamic Terror.

Free Kennedy Center Gala Honoring the Prisons Foundation

We are pleased to announce that the Prisons Foundation has been chosen by a blue ribbon panel as a Mayor's Arts Award Finalist in the category of Innovation in the Arts. The panel was impressed with the work done by the Prisons Foundation in allowing men and women in prison to pursue the arts and their educational development, its publishing a stunning newsmagazine Art for Justice, and its sponsorship of the Prison Art Gallery in downtown Washington.

9th Annual Medical Marijuana Benefit Concert

On Saturday, January 20, 2007 Ploppy Palace Productions and Tobacco Road will be hosting the 9th Annual Medical Marijuana Benefit Concert to raise funds for FL NORML’s (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) medical marijuana campaign and the protection of patients’ rights. As part of this four stage extravaganza, some of South Florida's top bands, spoken word artists and community activists will join together for patients’ and physicians’ right to use medical cannabis.
