This election year the country is focused on change. We do the same thing every day in the area of drug policy reform. By shining a bright light on the TRUTH, we are proving our case: prohibition does far more harm than good.
FoxNews.com is currently running a three-part series of articles on the case of Clarence Aaron, who has served 15 years of three concurrent life sentences. His "crime" was a minor, first-time crack cocaine offense. Aaron was the low man on the totem pole, but he had no one to turn in, and he didn't want to turn anyone in. The higher-ups testified against him, and are free now.
StoptheDrugWar.org executive director David Borden was quoted in part one of the series, online here. Part two is online here; it includes quotes from our colleague and advisory board member Eric Sterling.
As our web site traffic grows, so does our access to the media, who find us online when they look for information about the drug war. Our generous donors make this possible.
