I empathise with you. If
I empathise with you. If one of my two sons died I would also be devastated. Doctors in a free market system are first and foremost, businesspeople. As such the bottom line is very important to them. If a patient comes to them wanting a scrip and the doctor does not give it to him, that is the last the doc will ever see of that patient. They can't afford to lose so many patients because it affects their bottom line, so they give them what they want. Your son just took advantage of that fact. His choice, his consequence. The only way out is to make public employees of the doctors, then you can check up and control them. So long as we operate free market medicine, we will continue to experience this sort of thing.

Our sociey make healthcare because our doctor is not responsible.

the talibombs real objective is to gut our citys
A look at the prison industry
The governor of California complains about the prison guard union, admitting that “some need to be behind bars”. But of course this is just all a law and order issue, no one stops to evaluate if this so called public service hasn’t been taken over by the talibomb for profit driven motives. Let’s look at some facts and at this so called blue code of silence weather the fact that they control the crave is just science fiction or if the talibomb might be using them and high technology to gut our cities and create crime.
1. They put non violent offenders in and create an atmosphere of violence and gay dominated sex.
2. The vast majority end up converting to their Muslim religion or take their violence back out on the streets, with a 90% failure rate of repeat offenders.
3. They can’t serve Jewish food because they have no time?
4. With 30% of the jail population failing their drug test, they know they can’t have weed and the heavy drugs pass through their system quicker.
5. With a massive review required and a moratorium placed on death penalty cases in Illinois, where DNA has proven large amounts of people innocent but no time or money for the smaller cases “so the tax payer is stuck paying room, board and medical care”.
6. Over 60% of the so called criminals are our modern day Thomas Edison’s, T. Jefferson’s, George Washington and Henry fords are in prison for violating the foreign controlled pharmaceutical companies laws that has been bought and paid for from the FDA, sticking the tax payer with a bill and a liability instead of honoring Ben franklins words that “a civilized county is based on liberty and tolerance.”
7. Punishment factor- although the Christian bible says we are not to judge people, that criminals should be held in a safe humane condition until judgment day instead they do their violent acts violating the moral of Christ to play god and enact punishment.
8. Multibillion dollar contracts are awarded only to those artistians who worship and swear to Hippocrates, these degreed experts use their high technology, drugs and experiments that are carried out by criminals on criminals.
9. Duke University, the Carolina enforcer who wins a presidential medal for destroying these honest decent people only to find out he was the scum behind all the drugs coming into his town. From New York to new Orleans to LA they have a repeated pattern – history – motive to carry out their racist agenda as they claim to be helping ,protecting and serving these blacks
10. They continue to cut Medicare and medi-cade all the while raising the price on health care, our forefathers our parents would not deny the blood of Christ (wine)or a cigarette even in front of a firing squad, yet we are to believe it’s best to close down the liquor stores in the bad neighborhoods and lock up the pharmacies, while in any major city or big office there is always someone pushing the medical monopolies latest miracle drug as they criminalize and demonize the natural plant.
These are just some of the facts that our tax dollars are being wasted on. As they cut back on basic services the law and order budget continue to expand, as they deny a whole population the right of laws, claiming to be exempt from the 10 commandments as they lie cheat and steal from these drug criminals, and although the genetics, the neurological , historical and religious rights of man is ignored, the medical monopoly and their bounty hunters continue to make billions, but they claim they can’t take the profit out of the drug war and each year and new designer drug comes out for our athletes or a new drug hits the streets and the crime and violence guts our cities of its diversity. What will you do when they come after you with the crave and are you so sure it’s just our modern day T. Edison, T. Jefferson and George Washington that are criminals?

loss of your son
I am really sorry for the loss of your son. But blaming the doctor for your son's actions would be no different than the doctor blaming his death on your poor parenting skills! Neither is a responsible attitude! People lie to get drugs, especially those with drug problems, to begin with. Without the education and knowledge the doctor has obtained, one would be hard pressed to make the decisions needed to treat chronic intractable pain patients, as you appear to be doing here. The fact that your son got the drugs could also be a failure of the system to keep him from getting the prescriptions too early. Other questions that come to mind are: Did he take to weeks worth of drugs in two days? Did he alter the prescrition to obtain them early? There are laws that are supposed to prevent this, but people with drug problems break these laws all of the time! The doctor cannot go home with and hold each pain patient's hand. They cannot know they are telling the truth, either, about their drug abuse habits.
Irresponsible is assuming you have the education knowledge and judgment to second guess a doctor you never even had contact with. I would hate to lose my child in a circumstance like this, but I know what it is to be denied pain treatment because abusers make the doctors scared to treat people with actual pain.
The best thing you could do is encourage any one you know with drug problems to get them treated and report them to any doctor, they might go to, to prevent them from getting prescriptions that can kill, when used carelessly. There needs to be a balance to prevent this from happening, but ultimately the responsibility resides with the person who takes the medications, properly!
The biggest question in my mind, is what was going on that your son thought he could take multiple, potent, drugs how he wished (not as prescribed) without ever suffering and consequences? It is worse than playing Russian roultette, as your loss has so proven!
Sorry for your loss
I am so very sorry that you lost your son but the very drugs that took his life gave mine back.I never used drugs in my life,I was scared of them,I have never even been drunk. In June 2006,I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 33.The past 21/2 years have been hell on earth for me.I had both breasts removed,4 months of chemo,7 months of Herceptin and will be on Tamoxifen for the rest of my life. The chemo left me with congestive heart failure and neuropathy. The pain in my chest, back and ribs is constant due to nerves being cut and having 19 lymph nodes removed.Without Oxycontin,my children don't have whatever time I have left with their mother and my husband doesn't have his wife.I understand your feelings exactly because I have a 24 year old brother that is an addict. He has been in rehab countless times to no avail. He overdoses and has seizures and scares me to death.I keep my pills locked in a safe or he will steal them.He also went to pain management and got opiates for no real reason.I don't know the answer, how to help addicts that do have a choice and at the same time alleviate some of my suffering when I have no choice.
