Prison riot and death will be blamed on drugs

As I write this Mountain prison in Agassiz is locked down.On Saturday nite at 9:45 the inmates started an uprising that broke glass everywhere and eventually sent 12 prison inmates to hospital, allegedly for being high on drugs or alcohol.I have extensive experience with the federal system and this is the first time I've heard of rioters being sent to hospital for flying without a plane.A prison official made this comment:"they will be interviewed, debriefed and questioned".That is the most redundant speech I've ever heard. With the possible exception of some of GWB and John Walters little beauties. The dead inmate is a rather infamous child rapist :39 year old Michael A.Gibbon.He was busted in '87 for child pornography,58 films and 400 videos. He was also busted for two brutal rapes of young children. This is a classic example of federal government incompetence.I suppose the prison overcrowding that we have only begun to feel is partially responsible but anyone that's worked or served time in a federal prison knows the rules are a tad different from the street.A known baby rapist is fair game for any inmate that gets a shot.Even other sex offenders hate baby rapers.Mountain prison is known as the old man's prison because they only send really old guys and sex offenders. The thinking is that a sex offender shouldn't have too much difficulty defending himself against an old man. Some one sent a dozen guys that were obviously capable enough to destroy a prison. The feds will blame this on drugs and or alcohol. The real cause is someone in induction screwed up and sent the wrong people to mountain prison.I have always found it strange how guards and cops always turn a blind eye at the least and sometimes even vocally support this kind of prison justice.No-one will miss this guy except his family if he has one.It still means a life was taken .It's hard to condone that.
