Gotham Restaurant: the scene of wild shooting spree

As I write this, two bodies lie dead in the intersection of Georgia and Seymour streets in Vancouver. Police rushing to the scene collided at a nearby intersection. Witnesses testified that police armed with Armalites and M-16's were patrolling the area. Police are looking for several men in a black Cadillac Escalade in connection with the shooting. This would appear to be another in a recent spree of gang land killings that occur in eating establishments in the city. They are usually planned executions but in this case the news is still occurring so any assumptions would be premature. On the face of it, it matches the other killings in which no arrests have been made.

drugs

Drugs will always be around no matter what you do; just 'cause you sell drugs does not mean you're going to kill someone.

The premise being that drugs

The premise being that drugs themselves do not kill people every day? What a joke.

Drugs don't kill people,The drug war kills people

sicntired@mac.com Vancouver, B.C. Canada Most deaths from overdose are the direct result of either trying to quit and forgetting about tolerance, or from sudden surges in quality caused by inexperience or lack of a tester. Letting drug lords control quality, distribution and customer base is a recipe for disaster. Guess what? The drug war is a disaster.

Another one bites the dust

It's Sunday night and the news is announcing another drug gang shooting that's taken another young life. I have no desire to get into personal choice or Kharma. The drug war offers young people adventure and big money. That they succumb to the temptation is their choice, to a degree. There's no need for the temptation to exist. Stop the needless deaths. Stop the drug war.
