The lunacy of the UAE (Dubai) is described rather well here: http://www.boingboing.net/2008/02/08/uaes-very-scary-drug.html I took the liberty of asking for a donation to DrCNet and Leap in post #61. With regard to my own situation, I pled Nolo Contendre at the advice of a $3500 attorney, and am now suffering through 18 months of probation, thousands more in fees, and a Saturday morning drug awareness group (translation: brainwashing) facilitated by a kid who doesn't even have his facts straight. I just try to keep quiet and jump through the hoops. When this is over, I am moving the hell out of Florida, my birthplace. Probably out of the States if they will give me a passport. You better believe it won't be anywhere near the middle east, however!
