MORE INFO:

It's actually not as simple as educational work vs. lobbying work. Tax-deductible donations to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, DRCNet Foundation, support the Drug War Chronicle newsletter and much of our international drug policy and media work. Non-deductible contributions to our 501(c)(4) nonprofit, Drug Reform Coordination Network, support legislative lobbying such as action alerts to Congress, and limited parts of our international drug policy work.

We also use 501(c)(4) funds to cover the full cost of our web site and online list host/legislative service, a legal protection to maintain our ability to report on candidates. That significantly increases our need for non-deductible donations, but it's important.

We are also able accept donations for specific areas of our work. Please contact me to discuss this, or leave a note in the Share Your Comments box on the final page when you make your donation through one of the links above.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and thank you for your support -- individual donations play an absolutely critical role for our work.

Sincerely,

David Borden, Executive Director
